Cheers
Practical exercises to increased enjoyment of this drawing:
1. Think of a friend that you had that you’re not friends with anymore. Remember something good
about them. Remember a good time you had with them. Do you feel sad?
2. Play or sing the theme song to the hilarious TV program “Cheers”. You can sing it in your head
or in a quiet whispery voice if you’re embarrassed. Do you feel better or worse? (The lyrics can be
found below)
3. Repeat step 1 and 2 until you have an epiphany and/or cry.
4. Get drunk.
“Where Everybody Knows Your Name”
by Gary Portnoy and Judy Hart Angelo
Making your way in the world today takes everything you’ve got.
Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.
Wouldn’t you like to get away?
Sometimes you want to go…
Where everybody knows your name,
and they’re always glad you came.
You wanna be where you can see,
our troubles are all the same
You wanna be where everybody knows
Your name.
You wanna go where people know,
people are all the same,
You wanna go where everybody knows
your name.
